The Dick Foster Special Kids Rodeo

Dick Foster Special Kids RodeoThe Auburn Wild West Stampede Committee, in a joint project with the California High School Rodeo District 3, becomes "partners" for a day with special needs children of the community. Together we participate in the AWWS Special Kids Rodeo.

Life size rodeo props are used, such as stick horses, rocking chair bulls, and roping dummies, that are appropriate to the needs of this group of special children. Safety is given primary emphasis at all times.

Each child will receive special gifts provided by CHSRA & Cargil. Of course they are invited to stay and enjoy the rest of the rodeo, thanks to their sponsors.

The AWWS Commitee, along with the Rodeo volunteers and sponsors, are pleased to donate their time to a group of special children that might otherwise never experience the thrill of participating in an arena sports event.

This event will be held at 12 noon at the Gold Country Fairgrounds in Auburn prior to the Sunday PRCA Rodeo. click to view full sizeChildren entered must check in by 11 AM at the Fairgorund's Sierra Bldg. Each child must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The information booth at the fairgrounds can give directions as necessary.
