Hi, my name is Morgin Sheppard and I live in Rough and Ready CA. I'm 14 and attend Ghidotti Early College High School (GECHS) as a freshman at Sierra College, Nevada County campus.

This is my second year in High School Rodeo. I joined District 3 when I was in 8th grade. I competed in Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, and Goat Tying. I made it to state Finals in Goat Tying. This year I'm competing in Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Breakaway Roping, Cutting, and Goat Tying. I supported AWWS at every High School Rodeo with my Queen run.

I am also involved in Nevada County 4-H and have been in both horse and market lamb for 5 years, which is a very rewarding experience for me. This year I was just selected for the highest honor in 4-H, which is the position of Nevada County 4-H All Star. I am so excited to represent 4-H in community service.

Through GECHS I hope to have my AA degree when I graduate as a High School Senior. I plan to attend UC Davis or Cal Poly and would like to get a degree in Equine Science. I would also love to compete in College Rodeo!

I want to thank Norma Fox and Cathy Roberts for their support during the 2007 AWWS pageant. They did a great job! I also want to thank my mom, Gale, especially because she did my hair, make up, and everything else she could do to help during my reign! I also thank my dad, Dana, for hauling my horse Zip and I to all the wonderful life changing rodeos and of course giving me encouragement and advice on what to do! I also can't forget to thank Marylin the 2007 AWWS Queen for everything she has done for me and of course all my fantastic sponsors (you know who you are). Also, thank you so much to Auburn 76 Auto Center for generously sponsoring the beautiful AWWS trophy saddle with matching breast collar that I will always cherish.

I have had a wonderful time representing the AWWS Rodeo and have a years worth of memory's I will never forget! I hope the girl who I hand my title too will have as much fun as I did! I'm looking forward to seeing all you Rodeo Fans at the 2008 AWWS Rodeo!
