Hello my name is Clarise Bankus, and I am 14 years old. I live in Alta, CA, and I will be graduating this year from E.V. Cain Middle School. I will attend Placer High School as a freshman for the 2006-2007 school year.

I participate in High School Rodeo where I compete in barrel racing with my horse Checker. I am currently training for cutting, breakaway roping, and team roping.

I am also involved in 4-H. I have been showing swine and sheep projects for 5 years, and it has been a very rewarding experience. I also have my own chicken business. I took out a youth loan from the USDA Farm Service Agency Office. I raise chickens and sell their brown eggs at the Farmer's Market located in Auburn.

My future goals are to graduate from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and become a lawyer in the area of agricultural land management. I also plan to continue participating in rodeo while attending college.

I am very excited and honored to be your 2006 Jr. Miss Auburn Stampede. I can not tell you enough what a dream come true this really is. I can't wait to start my rein with Elizabeth, the 2006 Sr. Miss Auburn Stampede Queen! I would like to thank everyone for coming out and watching the AWWS and supporting the sport of rodeo.
