I want to extend my personal greetings to you, friends and visitors, to the Auburn Wild West Stampede website.

Thank you for your interest in this marvelous sport known as, Rodeo! As Queen of the Auburn Stampede for 2004, it is my distinct pleasure to represent the organizers and participants of our local event as a goodwill ambassador for my community.

I have an ambitious agenda this year. Not only do I want to represent A.W.W.S . in as many PRCA events as possible, but to also use every opportunity to share my perspective with those who might not understand this truly original "Extreme" sport. Where else does one find the appealing blend of God, Family, Patriotism, Music and athletic excellence? I could not be more proud to be associated with this endeavor. I am impressed with the character of the athletes, organizers, sponsors, and most importantly, the fans of rodeo, which make it all possible!

Since I was a child, I have loved animals; not the least of which are horses. My college studies focus on Equine Studies, and I hope to one day have a career as an animal nutritionist. I have participated in barrel racing events as well as horse shows. I work with Horse Trainers. I am quick to point-out to those curious or critical of our sport, that I would not be associated with anything that would lead to the exploitation or injury of an animal. I am continually encouraged by the quality of care shown to rodeo animal-athletes at the venues I visit. The various livestock providers are exemplary in the practices of nutritional support, safe transport, and veterinary care. The animals generally fare much better in their brief contests with the cowboys, who might be some of the bravest and durable athletes to be found anywhere!
