Jeanette Young, 2003 AWWS Queen

Jeanette Young, Miss Auburn Wild West Stampede 2003, resides in Placerville and is a graduate of El Dorado High School. She has attended Sacramento City College and earned her AA in Mathematics, Science and Engineering. She is currently a student at Yuba College majoring in Nursing. She plans to become a Registered Nurse specializing in trauma and surgery; raise a family and further her family's horse breeding business.

Jeanette is a member of AQHA, APHC, SPHC and Friends of Rodeo. She has earned many awards and All-Around Championships. She enjoys helping with Special Kids Rodeos as well as showing performance horses and cooking.

Jeanette will spend her reign as Miss AWWS travelling around California and Nevada promoting the sport of rodeo. Jeanette wishes to thank the many sponsors that support rodeo and the AWWS pageant, with a special thank-you to Mr. Wally Tarp of Wallace Tarp Trucking who so generously donated the beautiful trophy saddle with matching breast collar and headstall.
